Also loving the mirrors. When I see timeworn mirrors, I like to imagine how many faces they have seen, wouldn't it be fun if they could reflect them all back to you!
I had thought perhaps it was just a sign that I'm getting older, that I have a new-found appreciation for older things, but I'm so glad to see you share it too!
I agree and love the pics. It's interesting b/c any that I know who don't tend towards design and having an eye for such things...don't like mirrors like these. I have a friend who has a house that is a true old victorian home. It has gorgeous doors, with original mirrors inset and I can't stop looking at them. One day she said "I just need to break the mirrors and get them out of there." I about had a heart attack. I set her straight, but it's not the first time I've seen/heard that reaction to patina!! I will reference you post next time :)
I love the simplicity of this last image and the cleverness of the frames suspended in front of the mirrors with the ribbon. Thank you for stopping by my space, I look forward to sharing little gifts of serendipity with you. x Felicity
