Twigery

I knew the moment I walked through this courtyard, some beautiful artwork would await me. Twigery, located in the heart of Carmel by the Sea, is the design studio of Michael Merritt, a renowned master in the world of floral art, a visionary in his field with a unique style in floral creations. Michael's art creations have been showcased in respectable garden clubs, museums and political events in Washington, DC. As a member of AIFD (American Institute of Floral Designers), Michael has been in the forefront of promoting the art industry through his involvement in training seminars for upcoming designers. His recent work has graced the pages of Sunset Magazine , June 2010 and Le Soleil Magazine, Spring 2010.

What is amazing about his work is "twigs" in general are not easy to work with! All those speak volumes and look effortless but stunning. That's really cool.

I just found your blog, and as I was scrolling down I saw Michael and I said "hey, I know him!" I used to work for him in Modesto when he owned the Thoughtful Flower! He is an amazing artist, I learned so much from him. I'm glad I know where to find him, next time I am in Carmel I will check out his shop. Thanks for the update, your blog is beautiful!
